The 6-week super-intensive German Language Course at Norberts Academy will give you a strong foundation in the German language and culture. It is taught by experienced faculty who not only know the language but have extensive experience of the culture of German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) having travelled and lived there.
Classes are Mondays to Fridays (sometimes Saturdays) from 9 am to 1.15 pm. After class, it is recommended that you spend at least 2-3 hours doing homework and practicing what you have learnt, ideally with some classmates. This is a full-time course and it is not recommended to combine this with work or other major commitments, as it requires time and hard work to build a strong base and we know from experience that 6 weeks will just fly! It is not recommended to miss any classes and definitely not to take multiple days in a row off, one might actually miss an entire topic. So, consider this course only if you are able to commit to learning German seriously, as a main priority in life.
The format of the classes is blended-learning: partially in-person, and partially online (from the Computer Lab at Norberts Academy). Classes are highly interactive and immersive- through the digital format we bring Germany to you, virtually. This allows for maximum learning within the given time frame, with understanding not only of the vocabulary and grammar, but also the culture. We focus on the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, for through preparation for a possible future in Germany, Austria or Switzerland. The blended-learning format also allows students to improve their digital skills, preparing them for later exams such as the digital TestDaF.
Norberts Academy offers courses from A1 to B2.2 as well as a TestDaF Exam Preparation Course.
For students who join the A1 course, an A2 course will be offered soon after completion of this course.
